Mom's Group Graduation

Today was Stanley's graduation day from the Providence Mom's Group. We've been going every Friday since Stanley was 3 weeks old. We've met so many friends there, and we got so much good advice on babies. Since Stanley will be 6 months old next week, he must graduate from the group and move on to being a big boy!

Play Group

Stanley hung out with his friends at our play group today. He is tentative and shy of new situations when we arrive, like today he wanted to be in my arms and check things out before I put him down. Once he was there for a few minutes he was ready to be put down and interact with the other mamas and babies. After he's comfortable, he's always the life of the party. He loves to smile and laugh at everyone and everything. He took over Wendy and Jace's empty water bottle and was holding it and eating it. Stanley was also making his new noise a lot at the group today--a tongue-clicking sound. Jackie said it sounds like he's talking in Swahili. Stanley really likes his little baby friends. He was holding Oliver's hand and eating Jace's foot. It's so fun to watch Stanley's personality bloom!

Book Babies

We went to "Book Babies" at the library today for the first time. It was so fun! We sang songs, played with bubbles, listened to books, and played with scarves. Stanley thought the baby next to him was hilarious! He also rolled onto his belly and back a few times while we were there. We saw our friends Laini and Clementine. Clementine was so happy to see Stanley! Her bright blue eyes lit up when we arrived. We had a momentary melt down when I picked up Stanley and he head-butted my tooth. Poor guy! But he recovered well, and we will definitely go back next week.

Stanley Goes to Crystal Springs

Stanley and I went to Crystal Springs with our friends Karen and Ella. We have had beautiful weather in Portland lately, so it was a warm, clear February day. Stanley was fascinated by the ducks and the pond. He reached out and grabbed a handful of purple flowers and touched a Cedar tree. What a fun day!

Stanley and Mama in front of the pond. So many birds and ducks!

Stanley first up-close look at flowers. He couldn't resist taking a handful!

Stanley's friend Ella is 2 years old. Stanley loves to laugh and smile at her.

The Stan Man Blog

I am creating this blog to keep our family and friends updated as to what is happening with our little Stanley. He is changing so much every day and keeps getting cuter. Hopefully you will enjoy reading about Stanley's life as he grows and grows!
