World of Speed

We visited the the World of Speed museum in Wilsonville, OR today. It's an educational museum featuring historic racecars, boats, and motorcycles that tell the story of motorsports culture. The kids especially enjoyed the hands-on play area. Afterwards, we had lunch out as a family.

The Annual Christmas Morning Family Picture

I just realized that I didn't write a post about Christmas 2014. It was our first Christmas in our house in Camas. Maybe I was just overly crazy busy from just moving? I'm not sure why I was slacking off that year, but in any case, I wanted to look at all our Christmas morning picture together in one place. It seems to be a tradition we've started since Lisa's been born. Here's the last 3 years:

Merry Christmas!!

On Christmas eve, the kids drew Santa pictures and left out cookies and milk (and a carrot for the reindeer). Stanley woke up early in the morning (around 5:30 a.m.), so excited that Santa had visited! He had to wait for Lisa to wake up before we could open presents, so he climbed into bed with Matt and me. He wiggled and talked enough until Matt and I told him he could go ahead and watch some cartoons.

Lisa woke up around 7:30 a.m., and the fun began! The kids had so much fun opening their presents. Santa brought Lisa a Calico Critters house and little animal families, and he brought Stanley Nerf guns. Our families and friends were so generous in buying the kids presents. They were so happy and thankful!

Stanley and Lisa played with all their new toys throughout the day. I gave Glory her present, which was a nice long walk to the lake where she could run and run. I was also able to test out my new Fitbit activity tracker. I got in 10,000 steps on my walk! Matt made a delicious lamb roast for dinner, and we ate a great meal. The kids were so tired, they went right to sleep without a peep. It was a great day!

New Tires

I had to get new tires for our car. Not a very fun activity, however, it's so much better because I have the cutest little sidekick! (And it helped that they had free popcorn!)
