Parade of Planets

Stanley & Lisa's gymnastics gym has an event called Parade of Planets where they demonstrate the skills they've learned. Stanley is doing rolls and cartwheels, flipping on the rings and bars, and climbing the rope. Lisa is doing rolls and handstands, walking the balance beam, and climbing.

Fall Preschool Performance

Lisa's preschool class had a fall performance, where they recited poems and sang songs...all with spiders on their heads. It was the cutest thing ever. The best part was, Matt took off work to come watch, and Lisa was so excited to see him there! She kept waving at him and ran up to him at the end and gave him a huge hug.

More Halloween Fun!

Carving Jack-o-Lanterns
This year, we grew beautiful pumpkins in our garden that we used for our Halloween Jack-o-Lanterns. The kids directed the shapes and designs, and Matt carved the faces. We also roasted the seeds, which turned out so delicious!

Scary Face Pancakes
For Halloween lunch, I took Lisa to IHOP for scary face pancakes. The waitresses were all dressed in costumes and spooky music was playing throughout the restaurant. It was such a fun atmosphere, and of course, Lisa loved putting candy corn and cookies on her pancake!

Trick or Treat!
We lucked out this year and had a dry evening for trick or treating. The kids had so much fun, especially Lisa. She kept saying, "This is so fun!" She wanted to be the first one to the door and ring the doorbell at each house. They both got so much candy!

Halloween Party

My friend Sue and her family have the best Halloween party every year. This year, she turned her garage in to a dance party, and the kids had the best time running and dancing in the lights. We all dressed up for the party: Matt was Frye from Futurama; I was a park ranger; Lisa was Skye from Paw Patrol; and Stanley was a ninja.

Lacamas Creek Trail Hike

We took a family hike on the Lacamas Creek Trail to the Lower Falls. This is one of the beautiful natural areas in our town.
