Portland Aquarium

Stanley has been interested in all things fish these days (started by his love the tv show and books, Octonauts). To encourage this interest I took him to the Portland Aquarium today. He made friends with a sting ray, fed krill to the fish, and pretended to be in a sunken ship. He ended the day soaking wet (from being splashed by the sting rays!) and sleeping in his car seat.

3-Months Old

Lisa is 3 months old today! She weighs 18 1/2 pounds. She is so smiley and loves to look at her brother. She started holding toys and putting them in her mouth. She is such a sleeper, too! She'll sleep 12 hours without even waking us. It's been a great 1/4 of a year with our little girl!

Photo Book

The new way to make a photo album: photo books by Shutterfly.

I'm working on creating a photo book for each year of Stanley's life (and Lisa, too!). Here's the first one I have finished. It is Stanley's second year (so when he was 1 year old). It was so fun looking back on pictures and remembering what a sweet little peanut he was! I think you can order a book if you are interested using the links above. Enjoy!

Grabbing On

Lisa has been working so hard on grabbing the rings that hang over her bouncy chair. You can just see the concentration it takes for her to get her hands up near the rings and then open her hands to grab on. Finally, today she got one! She was so happy. She cooed and gurgled when the ring was in her hand (her happy noises). She's really been showing some perseverance in figuring this out!

Harvest

We have a wonderful garden this summer. Stanley loves to spend time outside, munching treats he picks. Today he was exploring the veggie garden and said, "Mommy! I heard a bee saying, 'buzzzzz'!" He helped pick all these vegetables and shelled most of the peas too! I love watching him genuinely enjoy all these healthy foods he grew and picked himself.
