Stanley's 3rd Birthday

Happy 3rd birthday to our special little guy! His birthday was Wednesday, which was the first day of school, so Stanley spent the day with his daddy. They ate breakfast at IHOP, where Stanley excitedly ate pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. They went to Target to buy toys with a gift card his aunt and cousins sent him. And then they went to the park, where they ran into Stanley's best buddy, Olin. When mommy got home from work, Stanley opened presents from family. Stanley requested pizza for his birthday dinner, so we went to Old Chicago. He even got a giant sundae with a candle to blow out.

Stanley had his birthday party today. He had 4 things he wanted at his birthday: firetruck cake, party blowers, grilled cheese, and games. So we had a firetruck party! Stanley's friends came over and played in the backyard. They played a game of finding flames printed on cards hidden in the yard. They ate grilled cheese for lunch. And of course ate cake and opened presents! It was a fun day!

It is amazing to think that Stanley is three years old! It has been such a joy to watch him grow from the sweetest baby to the sweetest young boy. He is caring and silly and smart and thoughtful. We are so lucky to be his mommy and daddy!
