Father's Day

We celebrated Matt on Father's Day by having a great weekend at home, filled with yummy food and family time.

I made biscuits & gravy and country fried steak for breakfast. We gave Matt his presents: homemade cards, new CDs, Lego book, and he bought himself a new CD changer for his stereo. Matt and the kids had an epic water gun fight in the backyard. I cooked jambalaya for dinner. It was a fun day!

Summer fun (quarantine-style!)

We've been creative with how to have summer fun while staying close to home!

We made a solar oven and cooked s'mores.

Stanley has been creating a lot of his own ideas out of Lego. Here is some of his latest Mario art.

We had a picnic at a local park. We brought outdoor games to play like badminton and bubbles. We also brought books...here is Lisa reading on a stump in the trees.

Matt set up a disc golf goal in our backyard.

Last day of school

We finally made it to the last day of this crazy school year! Lisa's 1st grade teacher had a time for us to come say goodbye and pick up an end-of-the-year gift bag. She also had a final class meeting on Zoom to share their favorites memories of first grade. Stanley's teacher had a final class meeting on Zoom to say good bye, too.

The entire school had a "reverse parade" where the teachers lined the street and we drove by and waved! It was fun, but also a little sad. With a wave out the car window, they are 2nd and 5th graders!
