Pictures!
I finally have pictures to post! Stanley has been up to a lot in the past couple months, including lots of growing! Here are some highlights.

Oregon Zoo
Stanley loves going to the zoo. He loves animals! He can even do the signs for many animals, like dog, cat, duck, lion, fish, and monkey.
Family day at Mt. Tabor
One Saturday, I asked Stanley, "What do you want to do today? Do you want to go to the museum, listen to music, go outside..." Stanley said, "Stick." I said, "Do you want to play with sticks?" "Yeah!" So, Matt and I took Stanley to Mt. Tabor to play with sticks and go to the playground!
Playdate PDX
There is a crazy play-place in Portland called Playdate PDX. It is a big indoor play structure with slides, tunnels, balls, and more. This is the place Stanley mastered going down a slide all by himself!

Eating a snack
At the top of the slide he can go down all by himself

Daycare
Stanley went to his first full day of daycare on Tuesday, and I went to my first day back to work as a teacher. I'm going to sub a few days a week, while Stanley will go to an in-home daycare. He did such a great job! He played with his friends, ate lunch, and took a nap. The daycare provider said he is such a happy boy and fits in so good with the other kids (there are 3 other kids: a baby, a 2-year old, and a 3-year old). And I enjoyed being back in the classroom!

Bonk!
Stanley is officially collecting bonks on the head over the past week. He fell on his face picking up a stick in the driveway, and scratched his nose and forehead. He came in the house and bumped his cheek on the tv stand and got a bruise. Then the next day, he slipped in the family room and hit his mouth on the floor and has a bloody top and bottom lip. Then he went for a hike and fell in some brush, and he has a bunch of scratches on his neck. Poor kid! But I guess it's the life of a super-active 17-month old boy!
