Snow!

When Stanley first looked out the window and saw snow in the morning he said, "Santa Claus woke up!" He couldn't wait to go outside to play and for Frosty to visit. Although it looks a little lack-luster in pictures, this was our big snow for the winter so far.

"Snow day!"

Yes, that is a ladle.

Stanley had a blast scooping snow with the ladle.

We brought some snow in and put food coloring in it.
Then we watched it melt!

Magical Hike

We went on a beautiful hike today at Tryon Creek State Natural Area. Stanley hiked for an hour all by himself! He was the official greeter on the trail, saying hello to everyone that passed. He ended the hike muddy, hungry and tired....all the signs of a kid having fun!
