Swimming Lessons

Camas closed the city pool this summer, since it needed so much maintenance. So this summer the kids are taking swimming lessons at Larsen Swim School. These lessons are in an amazing backyard pool. It's such a fun experience, and the kids are learning a lot!

Soccer Camp

Lisa & Stanley both went to a soccer camp this week. They spent 3 hours a day playing soccer! It was the first time that either of them participated in any kind of organized soccer, and they both loved it!

Last days of Second Grade

Stanley finished up second grade. They had some fun events, like a beach party in the classroom, field day, and talent show performance. Stanley also got a really great report card to end the year, too!

Father's Day

Matt & Stanley went to the Rose City Round-up Car show for Father's Day.

Lisa's Pre-K Graduation

Lisa graduated pre-K at Papermaker Preschool. They had a really nice ceremony, where the kids wore caps & gowns, sang songs, got diplomas, and announced what they want to be when they grown up. Lisa is ready to be a kindergartener in the Fall!

Stanley's 2nd Grade Musical

Stanley's second grade performed a musical called, Bugz. Each kid put together their own bug costume at home to wear in the performance. Stanley designed his own "fire ant" costume. All the students had lines to say and songs to sing. It was so cute and well-done!

Lisa's Kindergarten Orientation

Lisa went to kindergarten orientation at her new school for the Fall! She's moving up to Prune Hill Elementary, where Stanley goes now.

At the orientation, the kids go to the classrooms with the kindergarten teachers and the parents go to the gym to listen to a presentation by the principal. While in the classrooms, the kids sang songs and completed a cute craft (a headband with the Prune Hill penguin mascot). After, we all went to the school library where the librarian read the kids a story. Then they played on the playground and took a ride around the neighborhood on the bus!
