May 2021: Lisa's bday at a Mt. Hood Cabin

Lisa wanted to stay at a cabin for her bday this year, so we rented a beautiful, rustic cabin on Mt. Hood for 2 nights. We had a great time hiking, sitting by the fire, and celebrating Lisa's 8th bday!

Stanley's Birthday

Stanley turned 11!! We had a great day, despite all the strange circumstances.

When we got up, we went to Dots Donuts. He was very excited to get donuts for breakfast! Stanely got a balloon delivery, and we opened presents. We had a Zoom call with the Scharnak family. Then Stanley built Legos and played video games.

We met Stanley's best friend, Jameson, at a local park. Stanley hasn't seen any friends in person since March, so they had a great time! His friend got him a giant Nerf gun. They rode scooters together, ate cupcakes, and traded Pokemon cards.

Stanley also had a virtual playdate with another close friend, Jarek. They played Roblox together while on a video call.

Stanley got a surprise visit from his teacher from last year (4th grade), Mrs. Coleman!

Lisa's Birthday

The little one turned SEVEN!! She had a day full of love, presents, yummy food, and surprises!

She started the day with a breakfast request of french toast. Then she opened her presents. So many friends and family sent gifts to remind her that people love her from places all around the country. She got lots of panda toys, crafts, art supplies, pokemon cards, Legos, and more!

She received a birthday delivery of balloons, birthday panda shirt, birthday crown, and lots of party supplies. She also got a beautiful panda cake brought straight to our front door!

For lunch, she wanted a creation she has been dreaming about that she saw in a book. It appears to be a pile of mashed potatoes with hot dogs in it. So, I figured out a way to make it come to life, and she LOVED it!

The afternoon was spent playing Legos and toys. We had take out cheeseburgers and cake for dinner. We watched the new Sonic movie to end the day. It was a great way to celebrate our special little girl!
