Raptor Road Trip

The Portland Audubon Society put on an event last weekend called the Raptor Road Trip. They had stations set up around Sauvie Island with naturalists and scopes to help point out significant birds. We saw bald eagles, pileated woodpeckers, sandhill cranes, red tail hawks, and much more! One station also had education birds that you can see up close and kids' activities.

The kids with a Turkey Vulture--
This was Lisa's favorite bird of the day.

Stanley with a Great Horned Owl.

Lisa with a Peregrine Falcon.
